(24-27) "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.  And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.  And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together  His elect from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth, to the farthest end of heaven".  
(28-33) "Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near.  Even so, you too, when you see these things happening, recognize that He is near, right at the door.  Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.  Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.  But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven.  Nor the Son, but the Father alone.  Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time is".
(34) "It is like a man, away in a journey, who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay on the alert".
(35-37) "Therefore, be on the alert - for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, at cock crowing, or in the morning - lest he comes suddenly and find you asleep. "And what I say to you I say to all, 'Be on the alert!'' - Mark 13: 24-37.

Are you Saved?

Here are 7 steps to Salvation

• To Acknowledge

• To Repent

• To Confess

• To Forsake

• To Believe

• To Receive

• The Sinners Prayer

Step 1:  Is to Acknowledge

You must acknowledge in the light of God's Word that you are a sinner.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)."

"God, be merciful to me, the sinner!" (Luke 18:13).

Step 2: Is to Repent

You must see the awfulness of sin and then repent of it.

"Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish". (Luke 13:3).

"Repent therefore and return, that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord". (Acts 3:19).

Step 3: Is to Confess

You must confess not to men but to God.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". (1 John 1:9).

"For with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation". (Romans 10:10).

Step 4: Is to Forsake

Sorrow for sin is not enough in itself. We must want to be done with it once and for all.

"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have compassion on him; and to our God... For He will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:7).

Step 5: Is to Believe

Believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life". (John 3:16).

"If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved". (Romans 10:9).

Step 6: Is to Receive

Christ must be received personally into the heart by faith, if the experience of the New Birth is to be yours.

"He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name". (John 1:11-12).

Step 7: Is to pray 'The Sinners Prayer'

If you wish to accept Jesus Christ into your soul and life, it will help you to pray this prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you that you love me.  I ask your Son, Jesus Christ to come into my life.  I know I have sinned and committed deeds unpleasing to you.  I ask you now to forgive me of these sins and to cleanse my life.  Help me to follow You and Your teachings.  Protect me from Satan and evil.  Teach me to put You first in all my thoughts and actions.  Help me to love my fellow man as You have loved me.  And, Father, show me step by step the plan You made for my life.  I give You my life and myself.  I worship and praise You, my Creator and Lord.  I will continually thank You for sacrificing Your Son on the cross that I might have eternal life with You.  Help me to win others to Christ.  I await the return of Christ to take me to heaven.  Come soon, Lord Jesus.
